The CW has tweeted out new artwork for the concluding episodes of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. The new poster features the Ani-Monitor lording over the assembled heroes of the Arrowverse. At the center is Oliver Queen, looking quite a bit less Arrow and more like The Spectre.
Queen (Stephen Amell) "died" defending Supergirl's Earth in the first half of the crossover. Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) went on a quest to bring him back but was thwarted when Jim Corrigan (Emmett J. Scanlan) showed up with a greater mission for Queen.
Fans know that, in the comics, Corrigan serves as the DCU's supernatural spirit of vengeance, The Spectre. We were left to presume that Queen would take on the mantle of the Spectre, who was a key player in resolving the Crisis in the comic book series.
Crisis on Infinite Earths concludes on Janaury 14th, with back-to-back episodes of Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
