Noah Hawley didn't set out to make a TV series with Legion. He wanted to create an experience. Hawley, along with Aubrey Plaza, Navid Negahban, Lauren Tsai, Bill Irwin, Amber Midthunder, Jeremie Harris, Hamish Linklater and producers John Cameron and Lauren Shuler Donner discuss the vision for the FX series.
Legion is the 2017 FX Network live-action TV series based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name from the X-Men comics.
Dan Stevens stars as David Haller, the mutant son of Professor X whose considerable psychic powers are compromised by his fragile mental state. Tormented by the Shadow King (Aubrey Plaza) and aided by a band of mutants Legion grapples with good, evil and reality itself. The series also stars Rachel Keller, Bill Irwin, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Jean Smart, Hamish Linklater and Jemaine Clement.
Noah Hawley (Fargo) developed the series for television. It ran for three seasons.
