Invincible is the animated TV series for Amazon Prime Video based on the Image Comics series of the same name created by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley.
According to press materials, Invincible is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
In addition to Yeun and Simmons, the voice cast includes Sandra Oh as Deborah Grayson, Zachary Quinto as Robot, Khary Payton as Black Samson, Lauren Cohan as War Woman, Sonequa Martin-Green as Green Ghost, Chad Coleman as Martian Man, Michael Cudlitz as Red Rush, Lennie James as Darkwing and Ross Marquand as The Immortal.
Also cast are Mark Hamill, Seth Rogen, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Chris Diamantopolous, Grey Griffin, Jason Mantzoukas, Walton Goggins, Andrew Rannels and Kevin Michael Richardson, Mahershala Ali, Clancy Brown, Nicole Byer, Jeffrey Donovan, Jonathan Groff, Jon Hamm, Djimon Hounsou and Ezra Miller as D.A. Sinclair.
Simon Racioppa is the showrunner and executive producer. Kirkman also serves as executive producers along with David Alpert and Catherine Winder. Justin Copeland and Chris Copeland are supervising directors.
The initial order from Amazon is for eight, one-hour episodes.
