Spider-Man: Far From Home is Marvel Studios/Sony Picture Entertainment's 2019 live-action film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It is a direct sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming but also follows Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. It is the second film in the third Spider-Man film series.
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame Peter Parker (Tom Holland) struggles to resume as normal a life as a Spider-Man can lead. A class trip to Paris, where Peter hopes to get closer to MJ (Zendaya), is interrupted by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and a new, trans-dimensional superhero called Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). Long-time Spidey readers already know there's more to this Mysterio than meets the eye. The movie also stars Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau and Cobie Smulders.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is directed by Joh Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
The film was a box office hit and became Sony's highest grossing film of all time. The movie is followed by Spider-Man: No Way Home.
