Anthony Mackie Posts new Falcon/Winter Soldier Pic
Actor Anthony Mackie has tweeted out a photo of him in the new Falcon costume from the set of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He ran the image with the caption "The boyz are back in town! Having fun while social distancing," implying that filming on the show has resumed. The series created huge buzz around the Marvel content that was promised for Disney+, and was to debut this year, but worldwide disruptions to filming have delayed its launch
Black Widow Likely to Move to Next Year
With the ever-shifting theatrical market in the pandemic world, it's not surprising that Deadline is reporting indications that Marvel/Disney is considering rescheduling Black Widow. The MCU prequel is currently slated to open November 6, but with fearful moviegoers and a weak U.S. box office, as revealed by the soft numbers on Tenet, Disney is thinking the movie might fare better next year. The studio already has February 12 earmarked for Marvel's The Eternals movie, so most likely that's where the Scarlett Johansson pic would go, causing a domino effect on Marvel films into 2022.
She-Hulk Gets Director
Kat Coiro has landed the boss role on the in-development She-Hulk series for Marvel Studios and Disney+. A report from Deadline tells us Coiro, who helmed the upcoming feature Marry Me as well as numerous TV shows such as It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, will direct and executive produce the series. Jessica Gao, who has worked on Rick and Morty, is being heading up the writer's room.
Norman Reedus Developing Undone By Blood for AMC.
Actor Norman Reedus is branching out into development with a new company called bigbaldhead, according to a report from Deadline. One of his first projects, as part of a first-look deal with AMC, will be a TV series adaptation of the comic Undone by Blood, recently published by Aftershock Comics. The 1970s-set story of the comic follows a young woman returning to her hometown of Sweetheart, AZ, with revenge on her mind and a pulp western novel in her pocket for inspiration.
The comic was created by writers Lonnie Nadler and Zac Thompson, and artist Sami Kivelä. Reedus will serve as Executive Producer on the series and is expected to act in it, probably as the novel hero Solomon Eaton. Amanda Verdon is also producing along with JoAnne Colonna.
