Green Lantern Series Sets Writers
Back in January we heard that Greg Berlanti was developing a Green Lantern TV Series for HBO Max. Now Deadline reports that Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim have been tapped to write the series, with Grahame-Smith serving as showrunner of the ten-episode season. Both men have comic bonafides, with Grahame-Smith writing The Lego Batman Movie and Guggenheim co-developing Arrow with Berlanti. It must also be mentioned that Guggenheim wrote the Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds.
Deadline also reports that fans can expect to see characters such as Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz and Alan Scott as well as Sinestro and Kilowog depicted in the series.
SYFY Sets Resident Alien for January
An official tweet from SYFY today tells us we'll see the comic-based Resident Alien show airing January of 2021. Alan Tudyk stars in the adaptation of the Dark Horse Comics series by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse about a space alien living life as a doctor in the small town of Patience, Washington.
M.O.D.O.K. | First Images Arrive
The official twitter account for Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. has posted the first images from the new series. The images come from Entertainment Weekly ahead of the big preview slated for tonight on the virtual New York Comic-Con. Produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios (Robot Chicken, Super Mansion), this is clearly a puppet-mation affair. Look for the first video footage online later tonight. The series is slated for Hulu.
