Painkiller TV Series Spinning out of Black Lightning
Fans of Black Lightning will spark to the news that recurring character Painkiller may be getting his own series. Deadline reports that the seventh episode of season 4 will serve as a backdoor pilot for the show, which sets actor Jordan Calloway's recurring villain on the path to redemption. The episode will be written, executive produced and directed by Salim Akil. The character was created in the early Black Lightning comics by Tony Isabella and Eddie Newell.
WandaVision Gets January Start Date
Disney+ has announced the premiere date for the hotly-anticipated, reality-bending Marvel Studios TV series WandaVision. The show arrives January 15th on the streamer. The news was surfaced in a tweet on the official WandaVision account, which also features a new teaser motion-poster evoking the trapped-in-TV-land storyline.
