Actor Azie Tesfai is set to take over the role of a superhero in an upcoming episode of Supergirl. A post from DCComics.com reveals the actress in the costume for Guardian. The hero was established in the Arrowverse first by actor Mehcad Brooks (Mortal Kombat) who played Jimmy Olsen on the series. Tesfai plays Kelly Olsen, Jimmy's sister, so it's fitting she'll take up the helm and shield. The new guardian arrives in the episode called "Blind Spots," airing September 21 on The CW.
