Hulu Developing A Calculated Man
Deadline reports that Hulu is in the early stages of development a TV series adaptation of the Aftershock Comics title A Calculated Man. Peter Calloway, who previously worked on Cloak & Dagger and Legion, is on board to write and co-executive produce. He'll also serve as showrunner if the series goes.
Writer Paul Tobin and artest Alberto J. Albuquerque created the comic, which is pitched as John Wick meets A Beautiful Mind. The story focuses on a former mob accountant (and math genius) named Jack Beans who is now hiding in the witness protection system. When his former employers learn of his whereabouts, Beans' mental skills translate all too readily into deadly survival skills.
