Superman & Lois Cuts 7 Series Reguars, Adds 1

As promised in yesterday's report, The CW has significantly cut the cast of Superman & Lois in an effort to trim costs.

Deadline reports the fourth season of the show will proceed without Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez and Inde Navarrette, who collectively played Lana Lang and her family.

Also getting the axe are Wole Parks and Tayler Buck who formed the father/daughter team of Steel.

Dylan Walsh is also out as Lois Lane's father. Finally Sofia Hasmik has been released from the role of Smallville reporter Chrissy Beppo.

All seven actors have been with the show since season one.

At the same time Michael Cudlitz is being promoted to series regular, having stepped into the role of Lex Luthor at the tail end of season 3.

The current season wraps on June 27.
