Legends of Tomorrow Adds Aliyah O’Brien
Deadline reports that actress Aliyah O’Brien (Take Two) is set for a recurring role in season six of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. She'll be playing a non-human and very deadly warrior named Kayla who may prove both an ally and foil for the time-hopping team. The series returns to The CW this Spring.
Cast Announced for Justice Society Animated Movie
Heat Vision at The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive scoop on the new Justice Society: World War II animated movie coming from the DC Universe line. Jeff Wamester (Guardians Of The Galaxy Animated) is directing from a script by Meghan Fitzmartin (Dc Super Hero Girls) and Jeremy Adams (Batman: Soul Of The Dragon).
The film is set to star Stana Katic as Wonder Woman, Matt Bomer as The Flash, Elysia Rotaru as Black Canary, Omid Abtahi as Hawkman, Matthew Mercer as Hourman, Chris Diamantopoloulos as Steve Trevor, Armen Taylor as Jay Garrick, Liam McIntyre as Aquaman, Ashleigh LaThrop as Iris West, Geoffrey Arend as Charles Halstead, Keith Ferguson as Dr. Fate and Darin De Paul as President Roosevelt.
One confusing note that is not clarified in the original report is which version of The Flash Bomer might be playing if another actor is cast as Jay Garrick. No release dates are provided.
Riverdale 5 Adds Chris Mason
Actor Chris Mason will have a recurring role in the fifth season of Riverdale, according to a report from Deadline. The Broadchurch actor will have a recurring role as Veronica's (Camila Mendes) controlling Wall Street husband Chad Gekko. Veronica's relationship with Archie (K.J. Apa) will be an obvious point of conflict in the season. New episodes arrive on The CW January 20, but Mason won't appear until episode four.
