Superman & Lois Casts Lex Luthor

Superman & Lois has cast its Lex Luthor for the soon-to-begin season 3 of the series.

EW.com reports that Michael Cudlitz is set to step into the shoes of the Man of Steel's nemesis.

Cudlitz, who is well-known to fans of this site for his long run playing Abraham on The Walking Dead, confirmed the news on social media.

Now, Superman & Lois is a spin-off, of sorts, from the Supergirl TV series, which had actor Jon Cryer in the role of Luthor. However, season 2 of S&L established that the show is on an alternate-Earth from those depicted in Supergirl, which has lead to some recasting of key roles.

The show returns to The CW on March 14.
