MacFarlane Developing The Shrouded College for TV
Deadline reports that TV creator Seth MacFarlane has obtained the TV rights to The Shrouded College.
Plans are to develop the concept for Peacock.tv, though it's not clear if the show would be animated or live-action.
Charles Soule and Will Sliney, who created the series at Image Comics are set as Executive Producers.
The first installment of the graphic novel series was published last year with the title Hell to Pay, which introduced the Shrouded College as an organization that , "will give you magic, but you'll incur a debt." The primary characters there are tasked with recovering 666 cursed coins -- the devil's dollars.
Erica Huggins and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald are executive producers for MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door company. UCP were also part of the acquistion.
The Marvels Moves to November
Marvel Studios' third theatrical release for 2023 is on the move, according to a report from Deadline.
The Marvels had been slated for a July 28 release during the summer. Now the Captain Marvel sequel is set for November 10, 2023.
The report does not provide a reason, but does point out that we have yet to see any publicity for the film, which may indicate it is behind schedule.
The shuffle does not seem to affect any downstream Marvel releases.
