Donald Glover Gets His Spider-Man Movie
Sony Pictures Entertainment continues to give Spider-Man fans exactly what they want, now attaching filmmaker/actor/musician Donald Glover to a feature film set in the Spidey universe.
Fans may be guessing Glover would be playing a version of Spider-Man, as they have long clamored for. Nope.
Of course, the next most obvious thing is that he's going to be in a Prowler movie, the character that he teased in Spider-Man: Homecoming, a character that was super-cool in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Wrong again!
Glover is, instead, starring in and producing a Hypno-Hustler movie!
Yep, Deadline reports that Sony is digging deep into the Spidey mythos once more and throwing up another tentpole around a quirky, obscure character. Hypno-Huster was introduced way back in the 70s as a funk musician who hypnotizes and robs his audiences.
Myles Murphy is said to be writing the script.
