Cobie Smulders Among Secret Invasion Cast

With filming on Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion underway, Deadline reports that actor Cobie Smulders is set to appear on the show. Smulders will, of course, play Maria Hill, a role she originated in The Avengers and continued in many MCU films, as well as on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series. She also appeared in Spider-Man: Far From Home, although it was revealed late in that movie that the character was actually a Skrull standing in for the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent while Nick Fury spun up his off-planet operation. The situation alluded to there will play out in the new Disney+ series.
