Deadline reports that actor Zazie Beetz is in negotiations for the buzz-generating Joker: Folie á Deux. Beetz co-starred in the first film as the title character's neighbor, Sophie, who became an object of obsession for the unhinged Joker-to-be. If the new film introduces Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) as expected, it's likely Sophie would find herself in considerable peril. The movie is due out October 4, 2024.
