Invincible Gets Season 2...and 3!
With one episode left to drop in season one of the Prime Video animated series Invincible, the social campaign for the show tweeted out some big news for the fans. According to the announcement the show has been greenlit for not just season 2, but season 3 as well. With almost two decades worth of comic book storylines to draw from the makers of the series should have no difficulty filling that order. The show broke the Nielsen top 10 (see below) in its second week of streaming.
The official announcement was preceded by a fun video call with creator/producer Robert Kirkman who personally dropped the news on Oscar-nominated lead voice actor Steven Yeun.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Still at #2
Marvel Studios' The Falcon and the Winter Soldier continues to flex its bionic muscle on the Nielsen charts. The series racked up 628 million minutes of viewing time on the original programming list for the period of March 29 - April 4. That's the same number as the previous week, even with a third episode being added. However, the Disney+ show did fall back in the rankings to the #2 position as Netflix's The Irregulars took the top spot.
Amazon Prime Video's comic adaptation Invincible also arrived on the list this week. In its second week of availability, with four episodes online, the animated series gathered 139 million minutes of eyeball time, making it the #10 show.
