Sad news has arrived from multiple sources including the Associated Press tonight: actor Chadwick Boseman has died. The actor has reportedly been battling colon cancer since 2016. Boseman was at his home in Los Angeles, with family, when he passed.
He is well known to readers of this site as the actor who brought an iconic superhero to the big screen in Marvel's ground-breaking Black Panther film. He also played the character in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The studio had teed up Black Panther 2 almost immediately after the runaway success of the first one, which they had planned to release in May 2022.
Boseman had a successful career outside of that role, portraying Jackie Robinson and James Brown in the biopics 42 and Get On Up respectively. He was most-recently seen in Da 5 Bloods.
