Young Justice is the 2010 animated TV series based on the DC Comics franchise of the same name.
The Young Justice comics were set in a DC Universe where the Teen Titans had grown up and dropped the "teen," part, leaving a new generation of underage heroes to be mentored by the Justice League. This animated series is set in its own universe where the Teen Titans never happened, and the Robin/Dick Grayson, Kid Flash/Wally West, Aqualad/Kaldur'ahm and Speedy/Roy Harper are offered the same mentorship, mostly under the guidance of Batman. Speedy declines and sets out to forge his own identity, but the core team are quickly joined by Superboy/Conner Kent, Miss Martian/M'gann M'orzz and Artemis Crock.
Season two, Young Justice: Invasion, deals with an alien invasion of Earth. This season sees Robin graduate to the Nightwing identity and introduces Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, Robin II (Tim Drake), Batgirl, Wonder Girl, Impulse and more.
Season three, Young Justice: Outsiders, focuses on the world's response to learning of the dormant meta-gene which spawns super powers.
The show was well received by fans and has run for four seasons so far. The show was initial developed for Cartoon Network and the first two season aired on that cabler. For season three, the series moved to the DC Universe specialty streaming service. With season four, the show moved again to the HBO Max streaming service, where all episodes are available.
