Superman is a 1988 Ruby-Spears Enterprises animated TV series based on the DC Comics character of the same name.
This updated version of Superman followed the across-the-board revamping of the DC Universe in comics that followed the Crisis on Infinite Earths mini-series event. Comics creator Marv Wolfman was architect of the comic series and also head story editor on this series, which saw it hewing a big closer to the comics continuity than previous animated series might have.
The voice cast included Beau Weaver as Superman, Ginny McSwain as Lois Lane, Michael Bell as Lex Luthor.
The series ran for one 13-episode season on CBS.
