Static Shock is the 2000 Kids WB TV series based on the DC Comics/Milestone Comics character Static.
The show details 14 year-old Virgil Hawkins (voiced by Phil LaMarr) a booksmart teen who is exposed to a mutagenic gas in an event called "The Big Bang" and is invested with the ability to absorb and project electricity. Other voice cast incluse Jason Marsden, Kevin Michael Richardson, Michele Morgan, Kadeem Hardison and Gary Anthony Sturgis.
The series was created by Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan, Michael Davis and Derek Dingle.
Static Shock was very successful, being nominated for various Annie and Emmy awards. It ran for four seasons and a total of 52 episodes.
