Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends (1981): Series Premiere

Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends is a 1981 animated television series based on Marvel's flagship character.

The series, which originally aired on NBC, teamed Spider-Man with the X-Men character Ice Man and a new, made-for-the-series character, Firestar. The show frequently saw the trio of heroes teaming up with other characters in the marvel universe, such as Captain America, The X-Men, Doctor Strange and The Hulk.

The series ran for three seasons and Firestar was eventually introduced into the Marvel comics continuity.
