Spider-Man is a 1981 animated TV series based on the popular Marvel Comics character of the same name.
The show was developed by Stan Lee himself as a direct-to-syndication series and was the first show produced under the new "Marvel Productions" banner. It was released simultaneously to the NBC show Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Voice actor Ted Schwartz played Spider-Man.
It is the first animated TV series to feature the web-slinger since the fondly-remembered 1967 version.
