Smallville is the 2001 TV series based on the teenage years of DC Comics character Superman that initially ran on The WB network.
Tom Welling stars as young Clark Kent struggling to balance his emerging powers with the already-awkward life of being a teenager. Michael Rosenbaum is also noteworthy as Lex Luthor, who finds friendship with Clark after Clark saves his life. The cast also include Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, Eric Johnson as Whitney Fordman, Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan, Same Jones III at Pete Ross, John Schneider as Jonathan Kent and Annette O'Tool (who appeared in Superman III) as Martha Kent.
The series was well-received and ran for ten seasons, eventually transitioning to The CW Network.
