Random Acts of Violence is the 2019 live-action film adapting the Image Comics title of the same name created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray.
The film stars Jesse Williams as comic book creator Todd Walkley who, along with his lifelong friend and publisher Ezra (Jay Baruchel), has made a career from comics based on the true crimes of a serial killer. As publicity stunt they visit the town where the killer, known as Slasherman, went on his rampage. However, on their arrival a new series of murders bein. Jordana Brewster also stars.
Baruchel directed the film from a script he co-wrote with frequent collaborator Jessse Chabot.
The film arrived to mixed reviews. It was released in Canadian theaters during the pandemic-depressed 2020 box office, and then on Shudder in the United States.
