Kraven the Hunter is the 2023 live-action Sony Pictures Entertainment feature film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age Of Ultron) is set to play the lead role. Christopher Abbott (Catch-22) is rumored to be the primary antagonist for the film, which is the Spider-Man villain Foreigner. Russell Crowe (Man of Steel) is also cast in the film, possibly as Kraven's father. Fred Hechinger (White Lotus) is reportedly playing Kraven's half-brother Sergei Kravinoff, better known to Spider-Man readers as The Chameleon. Ariana Debose (West Side Story) is reportedly cast as Calypso. Other cast members include Alessandro Nivola and Levi Miller.
J.C. Chandor (Triple Frontier) is directing from a script by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk.
Kraven was first introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #15, where he is portrayed as a big-game hunter looking to mount Spider-Man's head on a wall. He was also one of the initial members of the Sinister Six. He was the focal point of the epic Spider-Man storyline, "Kraven's Last Hunt," which was cited in the infamous Sony email leak as the kind of thing they should be considering adapting directly from the comics.
Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal are producing.
