Justice League: The New Frontier is a 2008 animated feature film based on DC Comics series of the same name by comic creator Darwyn Cooke.
The film depicts the DC Universe as emerging in the post-war 1950s, a time of heightened idealism, a sharp contrast to the more cynical tone of modern comics. In it the heroes of the day battle a psychic entity called "The Centre", a metaphoric villain representing communism.
The cast includes Jeremy Sisto as Batman, Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman, David Boreanaz as Green Lantern, Miguel Ferrer as J'onn J'onzz, Neil Patrick Harris as The Flash and Kyle MacLachlan as Superman. It was directed by Dave Bullock from a script by Stan Berkowitz.
