Hellboy: Sword of Storms is the 2006 animated feature film based on the Dark Horse Comics character of the same name. It is the first film in the Hellboy Animated Film Series.
Hellboy (Ron Perlman), Abe Sapien (Doug Jones) and Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) track the legend of two Japanese demon, Thunder and Lightning, capable of conjuring great storms. A folklore and prompt goes searching for the cursed Katana, which imprisons the demons, which Hellboy obtains instead. The sword carries Hellboy to an otherworldly place, where the only way to free himself would be to free the demons as well.
The movie is directed by Phil Weinstein from a script by Matt Wayne and Tad Stones.
The movie is followed by Hellboy: Blood & Iron.
