The Gifted is the live-action 2017 Fox TV Network series based on the Marvel Comics franchise The X-Men.
The show focuses on the Strucker family headed by Reed (Stephen Moyer) a district attorney who has pushed legislation to control mutants. When Reed realizes that he, himself is a mutant and he's passed on the mutant gene to his children, Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White), they, along with his wife Caitlin (Amy Acker) go on the run. They end up joining the Mutant Underground. While the Strucker family is an original creation, the show is populated with recognizable X-Men characters like Blink (Jamie Chung), Thunderbird (Blair Redford) and Polaris (Emma Dumont) and elements like Trask Industries and The Hellfire Club.
The series was created by Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and ran for two seasons
