Fantastic Four is 20th Century Fox's adaptation of the Marvel Comics franchise of the same name.
Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis star as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) and Ben Grimm (the Thing). They're joined by Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom. The movie provides an origin story for the four principal heros and the film's villain, all empowered by the same cosmic accident. As the five grapple with their physical changes, Doom swears revenge on Richards and his family.
Directed by Tim Story from a script by Michael France and Mark Frost, Fantastic Four is the first big-budget studio effort to bring the quartet to the big screen. Although the reception was luke warm, the movie was successful enough to spawn a sequel.
