Danger Diabolik: Theatrical Premiere

Danger Diabolik is the 1968 live-action feature film based on the comics of the same name created by Angela Giussani and Luciana Giussani.

Diabolik (John Phillip Law) is a renowned master thief who has just stolen millions that were under the protection of Police Inspector Ginko (Michel Piccoli). Under new pressure from both the authorities and a rising crime boss named Valmont (Adolfo Celi), the thief and his partner Eva Kant (Marisa Mell) concoct a plan to take down Valmont and get the heat off of them once and for all.

Mario Bava directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Dino Maiuri, Brian Degas and Tudor Gates. Dino De Laurentiis produced the film.

Although the film was met with mixed reactions on its release, it has gained a following for its stylish, pop-art sensibilities.
