Big Hero 6 is Disney animation's 2014 feature film loosely adapting the Marvel Comics title of the same name, created by Man of Action.
Young genius Hiro Hamada (voiced by Ryan Potter) is given a chance by his older brother Tadashi (Daniel Henney) to study technology at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. When Tadashi is killed in a tragic accident, Hiro discovers his brother's greatest invention, a caregiving robot named Baymax (Scott Adsit). Hiro, Baymax and four of Tadashi's friends create technology that they can use to solve the mystery of the accident and save the world. The cast also features Jamie Chung, Genesis Rodriguez, T.J Miller, Damon Wayans Jr., Alan Tudyk, Maya Rudolph and James Cromwell.
Don Hall and Chris Williams directed the film by from a screenplay by Jordan Roberts, Robert L. Baird and Dan Gerson.
Big Hero 6 did very well at the box office and was the #1 animated feature at the worldwide box office for the year. Critics and audiences reacted positively to the movie. The film inspired an animated TV series in Big Hero 6: The Series.
