Barb Wire is the 1996 live-action feature film adaptation of the Dark Horse Comics title of the same name.
Pamela Anderson plays the title role, a nightclub owner in the future year of 2017 in the dirty town of Steel City, the last free city in the United States. She supplements her club revenue by acting as a bounty hunter. An old flame returns in the form of Axel Hood (Temuera Morrison) who is aiding Cora D (Victoria Rowell), a fugitive scientist with knowledge of a bioweapon. The cast of the film also includes Xander Berkely, Udo Kier, Steve Railsback and Clint Howard.
The movie was directed by David Hogan from a script by Chuck Pfarrer and Ilene Chaiken.
The movie scored poorly with critics and failed at the box office.
