Avengers: Age of Ultron is the 2019 Marvel Studios live-action feature film based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name. It is the second film in the Avengers film series.
The film reassembles the original all-star cast of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner. It also adds Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksliver and Paul Bettany (who has previously served as a voice actor for Tony Stark's J.A.R.V.I.S. artificial intelligence) as Vision. James Spader also stars as the voice of the titular villain here: Ultron.
Joss Wehdon wrote and directed the movie which cemented Marvel's ability to produce crowd-pleasing all-star films and set the stage for larger story arcs.
The film lays the foundation for events that play out in Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok and WandaVision. It is followed by the direct sequel Avengers: Infinity War.
