The Addams Family (1964 TV Series): Season One Premiere

The Addams Family was a 1964 TV series based on the comic strips by Charles Addams, which appeared in the New Yorker.

The central permise is that of a tight-knit family with a penchant for things macabre, bizarre and gloomy.

The show featured John Astin as Gomez Addams, Carolyn Jones and Morticia Addams, Jackie Coogan as Uncle Fester, Lisa Loring as Wednesday, Ken Weatherwax as Pugsley and Blossom Rock as Grandmama.

The series ran for only two seasons on ABC, but has proved an enduring concept, spawning a series of feature films in the 1990s and an animated feature in 2019.
