Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is Marvel Studios' 2022 live-action sequel to the 2018 film Black Panther. It is the second film in the Black Panther film series.

With the massive success of the first film, a sequel was inevitable. However, actor Chadwick Boseman died tragically in the summer of 2020, leaving the prospect of the film in doubt.

Undeterred, in November of that year, Marvel announced plans to continue the franchise.
