Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and Atlantis Talokan rise to take a a leaderless Wakanda, but the kingdom of T'Challa is stronger than ever. The kingdoms unite behind Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) and the new Black Panther (Letitia Wright) in this first full trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Arriving with the new trailer is the requisite new key art. The poster features the Wakandans dramatically fanning out behind Shuri at the top, and the Tokanians lining up behind Namor, mirrored at the bottom:
The movie arrives in theaters November 11.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is Marvel Studios' 2022 sequel to the 2018 film Black Panther. It is the second film in the Black Panther film series.
With the massive success of the first film, a sequel was inevitable. However, actor Chadwick Boseman died tragically in the summer of 2020, leaving the prospect of the film in doubt.
Undeterred, in November of that year, Marvel announced plans to continue the franchise. Letita Wright, who plays Shuri in the series, looks to return and figure prominently into the continuation. Returning cast members also include Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett. Tenoch Huerta (Narcos: Mexico) is joins as Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Dominque Thorne debuts her role as Riri Williams, aka Ironheart. Also joining the cast is Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You).
Ryan Coogler is returning to the directors chair as well.
