Daily Blast: Black Panther 2 to Roll Cameras in July (and other stories)

Black Panther 2 to Roll Cameras in July

In spite of the tragic passing of star Chadwick Boseman earlier this year, Marvel is reportedly moving forward with Black Panther 2 with cameras rolling in July in Atlanta. The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive news that the film will likely see Letita Wright's character Shuri taking on the mantle of the hero. Marvel hasn't confirmed this but they have previously stated they would not try to use Boseman's image via CGI. The article also indicates that actor Tenoch Huerta, will join the cast as, "one of the antagonists." Returning cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett. It appears Ryan Coogler is still attached to direct as well.

No Dad Bod For Hemsworth in Thor 4

It looks like actor Chris Hemsworth will not being doing his Big Lebowski version of Thor in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. The actor posted a photo to Instagram earlier today showing off his swole torso while training with a massive tire, along with the caption, "Cheat day today. Decided to treat myself to this extra large donut, gosh it’s heavy".

This prompted a response from Chris Pratt, who will reprise Star-Lord in the movie: "Hey bud. Just heard from my trainer and he needs you to stop working out because since we’re gonna be in the same movie and everything he doesn’t want me to stand next to you if you look like that so I’m gonna need you to put on 25 lbs real quick cool thanks."

The movie begins filming in January.

Deadpool 3 Moving Forward at Marvel/Fox

Deadline reports that Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin are on tap to write the script for Deadpool 3. This is particularly good news as it hasn't been clear that Marvel/Disney was looking to extend the edgy, R-rated superhero comedy. Ryan Reynolds is said to have been closely involved with the hiring process. The sisters are currently known as writers and executive producers on Bob's Burgers. Deadline also reports that Deadpool 3 will likely land a new director as well.
