Birds of Prey

Birds of Prey is a 2002 TV series loosely based on the comics series of the same name. The show starred Dina Meyer as Barbara Gordon, known to comic fans as the former Batgirl and current Oracle and Ashley Scott as Helena Kyle, the Huntress. It also introduced Rachel Skarsten as Dinah Redmond (aka Dinah Lance) the Black Canary.

While the comics veered more toward spy thriller, with Oracle directing the actions of a Black Widowesque canary, the TV series worked hard to surface the Batman mythology as much as possible. Huntress was swapped in as the action figure and given the backstory of being the love-child of Batman and Catwoman. Oracle's past as Batgirl was referenced frequently.

The show lasted only one season of 13 episodes.
