Batman Beyond
Batman Beyond is the 1999 Kids WB animated TV series based on the DC Comics character Batman.
Bruce Timm, Paul Dini and Alan Burnett, the creators behind the highly-successful Batman: The Animated Series conceived the show as an original concept, extending the lineage of Batman to a future generation.
This new spin on the Dark Knight mythos is set in the near-future Gotham City, where young Terry McGinnis (Will Friedle) encounters an aged Bruce Wayne (Kevin Conroy), long retired from his role as Batman. Terry discovers Bruce's secret past-life and steals a high-tech Batman costume in order to avenge the death of his father at the hands of the deadly crime gang The Jokerz. Realizing he can't dissuade the teenager from his drive for justice, Wayne agrees to give him the training and resources to be the new Batman.
Stockard Channing and Cree Summer also provide voices for the series.
The who was highly successful and ran for three seasons. It was followed up with a feature film Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker.
