ABC Cancels Stumptown
The much-loved, comic-based Stumptown starring Cobie Smulders and Jake Johnson is not going forward with a second season at ABC, according to a report from Deadline. The network had announced a second season in May and was on the schedule in June, but production delays due to the industry disruptions caused by the pandemic have sunk the prospect of it being ready for fall. ABC Signature, the studio that produced the show, is said to be shopping a new home, which is a now-common practice given the myriad of TV outlets available. The show is based on the graphic novels by Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth and published by Oni Press.
