  1. I could see it coming but still thought it was organic, predictable, but
predictable for a reason….it makes sense!! I’m going to grab that
imageplus tomorrow $2 is worth that pic!

  2. ronny i TOTALLY agree. i think it fits perfect like a puzzle piece and i
dont care that its predictable it was the first thing i thought as soon as
i found out there was a negan backstory. “negan should have a wife named
Lucille who turns and negan has to kill her as a walker” but its perfect.
as if everyone hasnt thought of this already idc if you did im not
surprised a shit load of people called this too but im calling it now negan
is gonna be on ricks side and be here for a long time. it makes perfect
sense. negan was the ultimate bad guy and now to show us he isnt that bad
theyre gonna show us what made him that way so we sympathize with him and
grow to like him as a hero and either, it will stay that way or hel turn on
rick and do something crazy to make him a villian again and then rick or
maggie will beat him with Lucille making it full circle from when negan
killed his wife Lucille… Either way im down.

  3. The trouble is people are obsessed with things being “unpredictable”.
Sometimes the predictable story is the best one and this was one of those
times in my opinion. Having his wife be called Lucille was way more
powerful than if it had been something totally random as that would have
    been less fulfilling.

  4. In liking the story so far, feels like flight 462 a little bit because it’s
so broken up, I just don’t see how were goona see his whole backstory in a
total of 48 pages, that only a little over 2 full issues, but we’ll see
what Kirkman does, very interested to see what happened next for sure,
outcast #18 also came out today, great issue

  5. Ronnie, not caught up in the comics yet. I don’t have a problem with the
name if it were used on walkers re: revenge… at least at the start. But I
would have to see the backstory, then evolution re: decision using Lucille
    on other humans.

  6. do you think that Jeffrey Dean Morgan was given access to the whole story
of Negan to prepare for the role?

  7. Ha, the character that really made the barbed wire covered baseball bat
popular in wrestling was Mick Foley. He similarly had a name for his bat
and referred to it as ‘Barbie’ in reference to the wire.

  8. Having Negan’s wife’s name as ‘Lucille’ adds to the thematic cohesion of
the series. It just further explains why Negan likes his baseball bat so
much, it’s a tribute piece. Bravo, Kirkman.

  9. hey Ronny I just read a article that said Kirkman said the walking dead
comic was supposed to end when they got to Alexandria. I don’t know if this
    site is reliable tho

  10. Q&A: do you think negan will kill dwight to get Lucille back now that we
know that the bat is a representation of his wife ? or do you think he’s
    just over it.

  11. Imagine if the hospital Negan was in was the same hospital that Rick woke
up in. I know it’s pretty unlikely but it’d be pretty cool.

  12. I am fine with his wife’s name being Lucille, even with that being the main
theory since his wife was first shown.

Think about the impact and meaning it has during past events. ***Spoiler?**
Carl shooting Lucille. and the fact that Dwight is now in possession of the
the physical, inanimate manifestation, of Negans beloved dead wife.**

Kirkman pretty clearly developed Negans thoughts in this non living object
when he first developed the character. The way I look at this reveal is not
that it is bad due to predictability. But that kirkman spent a lot of time
and care in developing this character. Fleshing him out long before he made
it to the page. This reveal just strengthens my opinion that Kirkman is a
good writer. Someone who has a clear pre-developed story that works, and
isn’t filled in as it goes. Like so many other writers seem to do.

  13. I was kind of hoping he’d leave the hospital before she died so she could
in some way come back later in the story (as a walker or otherwise, the tv
show did show that some hospitals turned into communities) and cause a bit
    of a stir. Oh well!

  14. Q&A .. Hey ronny if the show makes it to the whispers and all that do you
think they will have negan get flashbacks of his past now that its been
    getting revealed?

  15. So he used the bat to bludgeon his wife that turnt and named the bat after
her? If not I’m calling it. I’m also calling that Neagan has some
hallucinations like Rick did of his wife.

  16. I think it’ll help build up the eventual confrontation between Dwight and
Negan over Lucille because now we know just how important it is to him and
he’ll do anything to get it back

  17. I agree with you Ronnie. I hate how people are willing to sacrifice logic
and good story telling. All for the sake of a “twist” or to be shocked.

  18. Ronny, do you think we will se a complete episode for Negan’s backstory
like these comics in the TV show?

  19. this story will end at the same time as Negan confronts Dwight in the main
series. also, Michonne will die in the comics and show at the same time,
during whisperer war & season 7 premiere. been reading TWD since 2003 and
    it’s time for some shakeup.

  20. In the comics Negan says “Lucille is the only bitch I’ve ever loved.” so it
only makes sense for his wife to be named Lucille otherwise that’d imply he
    didn’t love her.

  21. Patience is not the internet s strong suit, hence why social media blew up both when Glenn s fate was left up in the air and Negan s victim wasn t revealed during The Walking Dead s sixth season. While that sort of storytelling may be frustrating for fans, what about the members of the cast?
