  1. Might be a dumb question (recently just got in to reading comics) but, who
is Barbara’s ex that was referenced in the beginning?

  2. This annoys me. Mandarin and Kanji (one form of Japanese writing) are
similar and the symbols used in this book are the exact same in both
Japanese and Mandarin; so she wouldn’t have known to go to China and not
    back to Japan

  3. I’m still kind of dumbfounded as to why no one knows she’s Batgirl. It’s
the most obvious thing in the world, same eyes, same hair, a mask that
    covers 2/10 of her face.

  4. The girl was Japanese and the tattoo was Chinese. How could Batgirl tell?
Japan and China both use Kanji, Japanese Kanji have different meaning
(which is why I hate Kanji, not to mention there’s a few hundred different
symbols) but they both have a lot of the same symbols.

And in this case it is Japanese for learning/student. So that text is
Japanese. It’s amazing what a couple months of self-education and a
    translation tool can do.

  5. 学生 is student in both Chinese and Japanese, so the kanji wouldn’t give her
enough information to tell her the girl is Chinese .

  6. Batgirl traveling through Asia trying to solve a mystery is a cool concept.
I like the new Bat family stories where they’re off doing their own things.
